Event Information

Andrea Travaglini, curator of historic zoological collections at the Naples Aquarium, Italy, will discuss the origins and aims of the Statione Zoologica di Napoli (SZN) one of the first saltwater aquariums to be established in Europe. Using stunnning photographs from the from the SZN Archive he will discuss the important scientists and their activities which helped make the SZN one of the the world’s most famous marine biological institutions.

Members who visited the Naples Aquarium with the YPS may be particularly interested in joining us for this presentation and discussion.

Doors open 7pm. Tickets are free and can be pre-booked by phone or on-line with City Screen (0871 902 5726)
