Could natural alternatives to antibiotics, in the form of plant essential oils, be developed to treat infections caused by bacterial resistant to conventional antibiotics?

How students at Boroughbridge High School carried out cutting edge science research, working with Harrogate Hospital. Now one of 7 school partnerships chosen by The Microbiology Society working with The University of York on a project to find new antibacterial compounds.

Doors open 7pm. Tickets are free and can be pre-booked by phone or on-line with City Screen (0871 902 5726)

Alternatively tickets are available on the night of the event at the City Screen Ticket Desk – limited to 70 for this event.
